Are you between a rock and a hard place in trying to run your business?
I believe that the future of the US economy is dependent upon the business success of small to mid sized firms. I also believe that the success of your business depends on your ability to attract, retain, and engage your employees. As the head of a small to mid sized business, you might not have the capital to compete financially with the large employers. Therefore, it becomes imperative that you further develop your leadership skills.
Are you finding it is lonely at the top?
A management consultant will tell you what to do. Your direct reports will often tell you what you want to hear. A coach helps you unlock your own wisdom. As your leadership coach, I will tell you the truth, help you envision success and overcome obstacles. If your business depends on your employees, you need me to coach you.
Labor Shortage 101

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that our economy will need 10 million more workers than will be available by 2011, and employers are already beginning to feel the pinch as the worst labor and skills shortage in recent history sets in. The first baby boomers, representing our largest generation with more than 77 million members, turn 60 this year and are preparing for retirement. The rapid loss of the collective skills, experience, and wisdom of these prime-time workers could devastate our economy and your business.
This situation is compounded by a growing skills gap as technological jobs replace lower skilled jobs that have become obsolete or have moved offshore, and skilled workers, of which there are already too few, enjoy more independence and mobility than ever before. Attracting, developing, and retaining qualified employees must become paramount to executives, lest their well-laid strategic plans become moot. The survivors of this labor and skill shortage will be organizations that strategically position themselves to meet their future human resources needs and retain peak performers.
